Professional Journey of Isaac Harold

Isaac Harold O. Richardson

Isaac Harold O. Richardson was born on the island of St. Maarten on September 23, 1956. His early education began at the Methodist Church Kindergarten and continued through the Oranjeschool and John Philips School, culminating with his graduation from ETAO.

In 1974, Isaac began his professional journey at Windward Islands Bank Ltd. Starting as a Messenger (Loop Jongen), he quickly advanced to the Typing Department, having already earned a typing diploma while in school. Committed to lifelong learning, he also pursued evening courses in bookkeeping and English.

In 1976, Isaac left banking to attend Bible School in Guyana. Upon completing his theological studies in1980, he returned to St.Maarten and rejoined the team of the Windward Islands Bank Ltd. He continued there until 1984, when he transitioned into the insurance industry, first working with Tackling Insurances and then joining Caribe Lumber Insurance Company in 1986 through 1988.

That same year, Isaac launched H and N Insurance Brokers, which he operated until 2005. He then transitioned to the hospitality industry, working at Flamingo Beach Resort from 2005 until 2017..

Over the years, Isaac Richardson has been involved in civic, faith-based, and educational service, holding leadership roles on boards and community organizations, including:

Isaac completed an online course in Mental and Behavioral Health Disorders from Light University in 2024.

Known for his integrity, community dedication, and faith, Isaac Richardson continues to serve as a guiding presence in both spiritual and public life in St. Maarten.

Edna P. Evans

Edna P. Evans is a seasoned executive with over 16 years of leadership in the hospitality industry, where she has successfully led award-winning properties and empowered diverse teams to thrive. Currently, she serves as the General Manager of a 140-room hotel in St. Maarten, while also shaping minds as a lecturer at the University of St. Martin.

A passionate advocate for education, the arts, and community engagement, Evans champions initiatives that spotlight local talent and seamlessly blend creativity with the tourism experience. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theology, an MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management, and a Master’s in Education with a focus on Leadership.

Her spirit of service reaches far beyond the boardroom. She holds leadership roles on several influential boards, including the Sint Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association (SHTA), the Library Board, the Employees Council, and the Social and Economic Council (SER). She currently presides over the Victim Support Services of St. Maarten, further demonstrating her unwavering dedication to community well-being.

Through every endeavor, Edna strives to build vibrant intersections between culture, education, and economic development, constantly pioneering new ways to connect the island’s creative industries with its thriving hospitality sector.

Outside of her professional life, Edna is a woman of many passions. She finds joy and balance in swimming, scuba diving, sailing, and playing the saxophone. Her creative side blossoms through painting, writing poetry, and experimenting in the kitchen, while her intellectual curiosity fuels a deep love for reading and research.

Above all, Edna treasures her role as the proud mother of her 12-year-old son, Georges—affectionately known as “H” who remains the heart of her journey.

D’Arcy D. Duffis Duke is a dedicated public accountant with a bachelor’s degree in public accounting and over six years of professional experience. Combining a strong foundation in financial management with entrepreneurial drive, Darcy owns and operates both an accounting firm and a unique gift store. Her expertise in accounting and her commitment to precision and integrity have earned her a reputation for excellence among her clients and peers.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Darcy is passionate about travel and spending time in nature, finding inspiration and balance in the world around her. As a parent, she is deeply motivated to contribute to a future that is brighter, more compassionate, and community-driven. Her vision extends beyond business, she strives to be an active part of a community that uplifts others and builds a better world for the next generation.
